Basic Indoor Plants Tips n Tricks

To have beautiful indoor plants is worth of the hard work planting them. There are few basic rules in order to achieve this goal and all the secrets to beautiful indoor plants lie in few tips & tricks. With this tips & tricks you’ll find that it’s easier to take care of your plants besides their differences between all plants types that you grown.
Lightning:
Lightning is the first thing that you need to consider before removing your outdoor plants indoor or when you start to grow one indoor. The changes of light amount can disturb your plants growth, for some types of plants they are unable to growth with indoor light (anyway you can help this with artificial light if necessary). If you’re about to bring your plants indoor make sure to keep it in shades for few days to weeks or just grow them indoor from the start. The best thing you can do is to grow the plants that really suitable to be indoor since they need low light such as Boston fern, Philodendrons, Photos, etc. Let see few more tips about lightning:
  • Spend your plants outside during summer months to boost up the plant and develop more energy for it to keep on growing
  • Rotate your plant to make sure it grows upright or balance growth in all direction
  • If your plants show abnormal growth such as small leaves, thin stems, and discoloration then it can caused by not enough light. You can help by using artificial light such as from fluorescent lamp or special lamp for indoor plants
  • As mentioned earlier that you can’t give shock to your right at the moment you bring it inside of your house. So next time when you get a new plants make sure you’re aware of the places where you buy them. Try to get the plant to the places that equal condition to the place where you buy them before you move it where you want them to be.


Water:

Just as light, different plant needs different amount of water (you almost tell me – I already know that!) but still no plants can grow without it. So be sure that your plants always get adequate amount of water. Let us see the tips:
  • Make sure your pots have good irrigation (water can get through easily) so you just can pour enough amount of water. So check the soil regularly. The best things you can do just by reading the instructions from the seed’s package or just asking the sellers. By the time you can tell the plants watering need by the features of their stems or leaves.
  • Yes, over watering can kill plants when their roots get drown in the water. Remember that the roots also need to be airy (to absorb oxygen in the soil, unless you’re growing water type’s plants. Be more observers when to find out about the right amount of water for your plants check the stems, leaves sizes, and colors.
  • Use the water with the same temperature where your plants located. The best way to do this put the water container next to your plants for a while before start watering it.
Heat (temperature):

Just like human plant need heat to grow healthy. As a general rule of temperatures between 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit, during the day and 10-15 degrees cooler at night. Now this will not cover all plants, but this is the range for most of the house plants. Here are a few more tips to follow:
  • The temperature can go up or down by 10 degrees from the ranges above, it will not kill the plant.
  • Rapid changes in temperature, either colder or hotter, can cause damage to your plant.
  • If a plant is grown at a hotter temperature than is needed, it will be small, weak. If it is grown in a too cool temperature the leaves will have a yellowish look and will fall off.

Pots and Containers:

Pots are just like the plant itself as it also can be another attraction. Instead of the amount of the soil that it will hold, it also needs to be spacious for the growth medium that you’re going to use to grow your plants. If you’re going to use soils make sure that it’s have a good drainage holes to allow easy water flow. Unless you’re using artificial medium such as bio-gel then there is nothing to worry about. Make sure that the pot is clean and clean it up thoroughly if you already used it to growth another plants previously. Just in case some disease that may affect your next plant.

Humidity:

The level of moisture in the air can also affect how your plants grow. Low humidity, in most plants, not all, will cause dry leaves and curling. Increase the humidity of the room with a humidifier, especially during winter when the heat is on and the humidity drops. You could also spray the leaves with water, do these in the morning, if done overnight the leaves can rot. Another simple tips to control humidity for your plants is by placing a container of water nearby, use a plate likes container so the water can easily vaporize.

Fertilizing:

Fertilizer is the real food for your plants. Most of the fertilizer already contained in the soils. In order to control the growth of your plants you need to make sure that they had enough fertilizer (but the needs are different between species and usage – such as leaves or flowers). Other factors include, how fast you want the plant to grow, how much sunlight there is, how many times you water it, etc. As a general rule, for plants that are growing very quickly, you should fertilize every 2 to 3 months, but for dormant plants, you shouldn't fertilize at all. Since these are indoor plants, that receive less sun than normal, you really don't have to fertilize them too often. Fertilizer can also kill your plants, make sure to be careful to use chemical fertilizer (always use it in small amount) and be more observers to your plants physical changes.

It’s nice to learn something new (if you’re really enjoying learning) especially when you’re trained by special trainer. Trainers are formerly known as a teacher just a little bit different that they’re coaching instead of just teaching you how to do this and that.
When the words are different they are different in meaning
Teaching and coaching are two different things that most of us didn’t realize. Teaching is more on giving you information about something. While extra information will be added during discussion session for further understanding.
Trainer goes beyond teaching where they will give you extra experiences in the coaching process. Here they will put you in the practical condition that will allow you to understand more about the subject that you’re learning. Perhaps you will understand it better (perform better if it’s in the case ofphysical skills).
Good trainer will trace your progressthrough charts and checklist to ensure you meet the required skills. They will ensure all skills will be mastered inprovided timeframe; where this is essential when it comes to time goals instead of just skills goals.

How to be self trainer to yourself?


If you can understand coaching principal, you can apply it to yourself for self coaching. Self coaching can produce good result just like you trained by other trainer/ coach.
Set the goals
Set your goals clearly that is achievable. Remember that you don’t have to be afraid to set these goals since you’re on the process of findings the required information, let say you’re going to learn new languages (that’s what I always do for my selves coaching). So the required skills that I need are; understanding, pronunciation and able to speak (constructing the words in the new languages).
Set the time frame
As we’re the new leaner don’t rush! Just allow yourself to learn free and easy. Make your learning process always be fun. Set your goals into few stages.
  1. Introductionwhere you just get a general ideas about your new learning areas.
  2. Go foressentialsbut not go for the hard parts (such as grammar, adverbs and the technical areas). These skills will grow naturally as you keep continuing to rest of your training activities.
  3. Test your understanding while enjoying movies (in the new languages that you learn). As now you begin to learn more words and phrases. Most ofnatural words structures only can be found in movies. This activity is important to make sure you discover various of sentences structure (spoken in daily lives).
  4. Get the right pronunciation and the feelings by singing the songs in the new languages. Singings will help you to improve the pronunciation. In my experiences, the best pronunciation practice can be achieved through singing.
  5. Go beyond expectation. Read the literature, news and write in the new languages that you mastered and keep improving.
Set the time frame suitable with the time you’ll provide to spend on learning/ practice your new skills. One the time decided. Put on the evaluation marks such as 1 - 5 to indicate the result from poor to satisfy. If the result are lower than average you need to evaluate your approach until you get the required result.

Pros and cons of self learning

When it comes to self learning the most important that peoples get a problem with is the consistency of following the schedule. In order to help you more motivated in our goals we need to be cleared with the reasonswhy we need to acquire the new skills. Different peoples will have different reasons but with one good reason ones will put their full effort in their goals.
The best thing for self coaching will always be the flexibility of times and approach that you want to use. All things you need to make sure are the honesty to yourself when you do the evaluation (as you need to do it for you).
Self coaching if mastered will help you to improve your skills in many areas. In other words you’ll save lots of money in order to learn new things. Instead you also can coach others (perhaps be paid). Remember it always take sometimes to master something. Always improve your approaches skills with the result that come out from the evaluation result.

This is my further articles about technical drawings equipments. As I found that in technical drawing good quality of equipments are very important to ensure we can come out with high quality of drawing. As in my previous of articles I talked more about the types of equipments here I’ll write down more specifically for all the supported equipments in details.
DRAWING PENS
Drawing pens serve to further develop and refine the pencil draft. Instead of giving the drawing the permanent lines, drawing pen also provide clearer different between the paper colors with the lines.
Due to the high light-fastness and document-proofness of drawing inks the drawing can be archived for long periods.
Drawing ink was invented in ancient China as long as 5,000 years ago. It consisted of oil, soot, glue and various tinctures, but their exact composition was a strictly guarded secret.
In Europe, following numerous developmental stages, the so-called "writing tube" (reed quill) was used until the early middle ages, a thin bamboo tube fashioned in the shape of the later feather quills and split at the tip.
It was only in the 17th century that the first slate-pencil-like shanks with attached steel nibs appeared. The by no means straightforward instilling of drops of ink between the tongues of the nib had to be frequently repeated during the drawing process.
The development of tubular writing instruments began in the 30's. Further developments and technical improvements eventually made it possible to fill the pen with drawing ink for technical drawing purposes.
Drawing pens are precision drawing utensils and have a relatively complex design due to their various applications. TECHNICAL FINELINERS

Technical fineliners are available for various line widths. It’s providing good finishing of the final drawing stage to get consistence of line thickness. Good fineliners are important to get clean result such as uniformity in line with same thickness. Good types of fineliners stay in good shape even after long used (that is the different).
The composition of technical fineliners is similar to that of the fineliner and its inks. It’s no doubt that the ink also contribute in the quality of the lines produce by the fineliners to get the consistence quality.
DRAWING BOARDS
Drawing board provides aid for drawing process to become faster. Together with other equipments such as Squares Set, T-Square with other special features, drawing board becomes one of the must in the technical drawing.
In modern design of drawing board the T-Square and the squares set are all built it to make it more reliable for the drawing process. Designed with durable and light materials to make it easy for transportation in case of relocation needed drawing board still become one of the important drawing equipment in this computer aided design (CAD) age.
Nowadays:
Board made of Plastic to make sure it will be lighter than the previously designed drawing board. Metal such as aluminum used to support the board structure to make it stronger. Some special features also added to allow various usages.

COMPASSES

Compasses have been known since antiquity as instruments for the accurate drawing of circles. They consist of two articulated legs of equal length which allow them to be spread open at various angles. The opening width determines the radius of the circle to be drawn.
Generally, one leg is equipped with a steel needle to be positioned on the centre point, while the other leg accommodates either an obliquely sharpened pencil lead or a technical drawing pen (attached via an adapter).
Low quality compasses can’t produce a perfect circle. For technical drawing process high precision compasses need to be used. Usually these types of compasses equipped with guided dial/ screws to lock the legs to allow the drawing process run smoothly.
Most compasses are made of metal (die-cast aluminum). To guarantee performance capability and durability, the surfaces are varnished, nickel-plated or chrome-plated.
Glass fiber reinforced plastics are increasingly used for the manufacture of smaller parts.

DIN standard 58502 distinguishes between 2 series of drawing & drafting instruments:

Extension neck diameter of 3,5 mm
They are designed in addcordance with school purpose requirements in relation to performance, quality and durability. They differ from precision drawing instruments in their simpler construction.
Series "P" precision drawing instruments for professional use:
Extension neck diameter of 4.0 mm (11.5 mm neck length)
Extension neck diameter exception: 3.5 mm (8.5 mm neck length)
Precision drawing instruments are designed in accordance with the most stringent requirements in relation to performance, quality and durability and are thus predominantly suited for professional applications.
WRITING STENCILS
Writing stencils are important implements for writing and lettering on technical drawings in particular. The graphic characters must have a high degree of precision and cleanness. Writing and labeling in technical drawing are crucial, all information need to be clearly written so it can be easily understand by readers. Writing stencil will ensure the uniformity in the text that written in the drawing.
Based on these requirements, an internationally standardized lettering type has been introduced. (The line width always corresponds to one tenth of the letter height.)
The application of writing stencils:
Move the template parallel to the backrest or leading edge.
Guide the ink drawing pen to the edge profiles of the template.
Align and superimpose the letter that precedes the next letter to be written, on top of the last written letter.
The slot width and paper clearance of writing stencils is always designed to adapt to specific writing instruments.

DRAWING TEMPLATES

Drawing templates include frequently required symbols and signs from all areas of construction and drawing technology.
